Samsung Confirms The Release of New Gear Smartwatch At IFA 2017

Samsung recently confirmed that the company is planning to release its Gear smartwatch at the upcoming IFA event. The announcement was made at Samsung Galaxy Note 8 launch event by non other then DJ Koh, head of Samsung mobile division. DJ Koh did not provide much details about the upcoming Gear smartwatch but provided some hints that the upcoming Gear smartwatch will be able to track more aspects of health.

A previous leak has already confirmed that the Samsung is going to launch its Gear Fit2 Pro at IFA event. This leak was actually was revealed when Samsung inadvertently posted the device on its store. Samsung has a history of revealing its smartwatch at IFA events so we may expect that Gear Fit2 Pro and Gear smartwatch which most probably will be Gear Sport 2017 will be unveiled on September 2.

There is a possibility that the next Gear smartwatch might support Samsung’s personal voice assistant Bixby. Not to forget that Samsung has recently released Bixby in more than 200 countries. According to a recent leak by a Korean source revealed that it will be Gear Sport (SM-R600) which is rumored to have Circular screen, 360×360 resolution.  Tizen operating system and is water resistant up to 5 ATM. Gear Sport 2017 will have a  Exynos 7 Dual 7270 processor and will most probably come with Bixby assistant built in, Heart-rate monitor and GPS.
