HMD Global sent invites yesterday and as expected the company has officially announced its Nokia 7 today. The Nokia 7 is one of the long awaited phones. Nokia 7 is a mid range smartphone which will be available in Mainland China in a few days.
Nokia 7 comes with a 5.2inch 1080p IPS LCD display with Gorilla Glass 3 and has two variants, one with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage priced at $378 and the second variant comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage priced at $408. The devices is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor and a 3000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.
The device has a 16MP rear Carl Zeiss branded camera with an aperture f/1.8 and 5MP front camera with wide angle lens. The device also has dual-tone LED flash. Nokia 7 also shares a new feature introduced in Nokia 8 “Dual-Sight”. This new feature “Bothies” allows a user to simultaneously use both front and back camera to capture images on both sides of the device.
Nokia 7 will run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box but it will be upgraded to Android 8.0 Oreo. Other key features include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, and LTE Cat.6, a 3.5mm headset jack, USB Type-C and Nokia OZO audio. It also comes with IP54 certification, which confirms that the device is splash proof. The device will be available in China starting from October 24th but there is no information on its international launch.
