Today Huawei officially unveiled its Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro flagship smartphones. Both devices have been the center of attention due to several leaks and many of the rumors have been proven to be true. Both Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro are powered by Huawei AI processor Kirin 970.
This new AI Kirin 970 processor has a built-in Neural Processing Unit (NPU). According to Huawei the dedicated NPU has the ability to improve AI task by 25 times while offering an overall 50 times energy efficiency for AI related tasks. This means that Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro will not only be able to perform better AI tasks but will also result in longer battery life.
Both Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro offer some great features. Huawei has put its efforts in improving the camera features of these devices. It offers 12MP RGB and 20MP monochrome dual rear camera which is made by Leica , OIS, PDAF, Digital Zoom, Bokeh Effect, Object Recognition, Real Time Scene and Dual LED flash.
The Huawei Mate 10 comes with a 5.9inch 16:9 aspect ratio LCD screen with 1440 x 2560 resolution and pixel density at 499ppi. It has a fingerprint sensor on the front panel. Mate 10 comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
Other features include 3D glass body, dual SIM, USB Type-C, 4000mAh battery with fast charging and NFC. Huawei Mate 10 will be available in late October in 15 countries, including UAE, Saudi Arabia, Australia, and Spain. Huawei Mate will cost $825.
The Huawei Mate 10 Pro comes with a 6inch 18:9 aspect ratio OLED screen with 2160×1080 resolution and pixel density at 402ppi. It has a fingerprint sensor on the back panel under the camera. Mate 10 Pro comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
Other features include 3D glass body, IP67 water and dust , dual SIM, USB Type-C, 4000mAh battery with fast charging, and NFC. Huawei Mate 10 Pro will be available in mid-November in 24 countries. Huawei Mate will cost $943. The US pricing and availability still has to be confirmed.
