Chimicles & Tikellis is the firm behind this lawsuit. Chimicles & Tikellis released a press release of the complaint. According to the complaint, Nexus 6P has issues with its battery and even with a significant battery life remaining the defect causes the Nexus 6p to abruptly shut down. This defect makes the phone to go in bootloop. Bootloop is a condition which makes the phone unusable because the phone becomes unresponsive, the phone suddenly shuts down and is stuck on a startup screen without any option to recover.

Chimicles & Tikellis complaint also mentions that when users contacted Google for a warranty they were referred to Huawei. The report also claims that Huawei has been “largely unhelpful and often stonewalls attempts to obtain warranty coverage, telling consumers the problem is not the phone or the battery, but instead it is a problem with Google’s software.”

This case is particularly interesting because both Google and Huawei are quite successful with their devices but Nexus 6P is definitely an exception. In this case both the companies have failed to address these issues despite the fact that the devices were still under warranty.
