OnePlus is a Chinese smartphone manufacturer known for providing latest technology phones for a reasonable price. This isn’t the only specialty of OnePlus, the company also provides regular updates to their operating system. This is why the OnePlus devices have gained popularity. Android Oreo 8.0 was publically released on August 21, 2017 and OnePlus has already started testing Android Oreo 8.0 through closed beta group.
The company has started testing the beta version of Oreo on OnePlus 3 devices, but soon OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 5 will also get their builds. Although it is still not known how successful the beta testing is but the company has announced that the devices will get a stable version of Android Oreo by the end of September. This will be a great treat to the OnePlus fans.
Although it seems strange that the older device which is OnePlus 3 is getting an update before OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 5 but the brighter side is that the company supports its older phones unlike other manufacturers. The beta build is not stable and the closed beta group has reported some issues with NFC, unstable hotspot, Wifi and Bluetooth. OnePlus in a message has asked the closed beta group to take logs for the bugs as the company already knows that there are high chances upgrades could go poor.
As we said earlier OnePlus expects to release the Oreo updates by the end of September, if the company becomes successful it will be the first non-Google company to offer Android Oreo to its user.
