OPPO a Chinese smartphone manufacturer has taken a different strategy to capture market. While most of the smartphone manufacturers focus on rear camera, OPPO takes a different approach by focusing on front camera. OPPO F Series is mainly known for its front facing cameras. Recently OPPO has introduced its new device OPPO F5.
OPPO F5 is the company’s first smartphone with thin bezels and offers a 6 inch display with 18:9 display ratio. F5 is a selfie-centric smartphone which comes with a 20MP front facing camera and company’s first ever device to include AI controlled beautify mode. The AI controlled beautify mode automatically tweaks pictures to enhance them. The device also offers Bokeh effect in Portrait Mode which allows to blur the background of an image.

OPPO F5 comes in two variants, 4GB RAM/32 GB internal storage and 6GB RAM/64GB internal storage. The device also has a memory card slot which can support 256GB microSD card. The device is powered by Helio P23 processor. The device can be unlocked with fingerprint sensor which has been shifted to the rear panel and an Apple FaceID like facial unlock feature.
Other features include a 16MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture lens. The device comes with Android 7.1 (with ColorOS 3.2) and 3,200 mAh battery. The device comes in three colors 4GB RAM variant comes in Gold and Black color while the 6GB RAM Variant also come in vibrant red color.
The device will be available in stores across Philippines starting from October 27 for 15,990 PHP which is approx $310. OPPO will shortly introduce the phone in Asian markets which include India, Indonesia and Malaysia.
