There is still so much confusion related to Snapdragon 836. There have been so many leaks that have claimed that some well known devices will be powered by Snapdragon 836. It was also rumored that the upcoming Google Pixel which will be most probably Pixel 2 will be powered by Snapdragon 836 SoC but recently a XDA has claimed that there is no Qualcomm Snapdragon 836. This claim is backed by a extremely reliable source.
The Snapdragon 836 was rumored by several well known mobile reporters including Evan Blass, who has the solid reputation. Although the previous records show a similar trend like Google Pixel was released with Snapdragon 821 instead of Snapdragon 820 and there was also Snapdragon 626 which was resealed just after 625. Another trend that we have not considered is that there was no Snapdragon 811 after even having overheating issues with 810.
Another fact that needs to be considered is that Snapdragon 835 is merely 4 months old and have no known issues and is still good enough for the upcoming devices. After this news that there is no Snapdragon 836 it is safe to claim that the upcoming second generation Google Pixels and Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will be powered by a Snapdragon 835. There have also been some rumors about Snapdragon 845 which is claimed to become available in first quarter of 2018.
There is still so much confusion about whether Snapdragon 836 really exists or not. The claims about the 836 are backed by some of the reputed mobile reporters and our most favorite Evan Blass. We guess we will have to wait until Google unveils its second generation Pixel devices.
