Samsung AI Assistant Bixby 2.0 Announced At Samsung's Developer Conference

Samsung Bixby aims to make its AI assistant to be more competitive to Amazon’s Alexa and Google Assistant.  Both Alexa and Google assistant are limited to their own respective hardware and software ecosystem.  Bixby due to its natural language processing will be compatible with multiple devices irrespective of vendor.

There are already a few choices available for voice assistance, Samsung claims that their Bixby 2.0 will be fundamentally different from other voice assistants already available in the market. Bixby will be compatible with not only smartphones but also with other devices which include refrigerator, TV, washing machines, home speakers and many other devices.

Bixby’s another feature is its context awareness. Bixby 2.0 will be able to understand the current context and state of application. Unlike its competitors Bixby 2.0 will allow users to interact with various modes which includes touch or voice. Other voice assistants start the task from the start if the user switches the mode without understanding the user’s intention.

Although its early to predict the future of Bixby but we believe that with the passage of time and better understanding by user experience Bixby 2.0 might become a very useful AI assistant.
