Samsung received record pre-orders for Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. Samsung started taking pre-order for its Samsung Galaxy S8 this weekend and received a record pre-orders. It was expected that Galaxy Note 7 will haunt the company and people will be reluctant to buy a Samsung device. The company received 2.75 times more orders it received for Galaxy Note 7 and 5.5 times more than Galaxy S7 and S7 edge.
There is no doubt Samsung has a history of manufacturing successful flagship smartphones. Even Note 7 recall event and arrest of Samsung Chief and 4 executives in bribery, embezzlement case did not decrease demand for Samsung smartphone, in fact the Note 7 recall has increased the demand for Galaxy S8 Plus which is the larger version of Galaxy S8 Plus. Galaxy S8+ comes with a 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
According to ZDNet reports Samsung received 550,000 pre-orders for Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus within a short time period of two days in Korea. Korean market will be the first market to receive Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will be available in the market on April 21.
