Samsung Rolled Out Update To Fix Red Tint Display In Galaxy S8 And S8+. Although Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ does not have any major hardware issue but we cannot claim it to be hundred percent issue free. There have been several users complaining about the red tint screen issue in Galaxy S8 and S8+. Samsung was quick to respond to this issue by explaining that it is not a hardware issue and promised to provide a software update by the end of this month, which will fix the red tint display issue.
Samsung kept its promise and has rolled out an update to fix the red tint display issue. Samsung has already started rolling out the update for Galaxy S8 and S8+ in South Korea. Samsung has also assured that it will issue replacement devices (i.e. Galaxy S8 and S8+) to user who are not satisfied even after this update.
The latest update for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, with firmware version G950NKSU1AQDG or G950NKSU1AQDG, provides users with more options to tune color temperature and fix the issue, as pointed out in a report by Sammobile. This new update will allow Galaxy S8 and S8+ users to adjust colors through “Full Screen Color Balance” option which will be available in Adaptive Display screen mode. It will also offer an option in Screen Mode menu “Screen Edge Color Balance” to adjust colors at the screen edges.
Many Galaxy S8 and S8+ users have reported that the new update has fixed the red tint display issue. Users reported that after the update Galaxy S8 and S8+ device display works perfectly fine. The update is as of now rolling out in South Korea and we hope it will soon be rolled out to other countries. Users are waiting for update fixes for Wi-Fi issue and a Device Quality Agent issue.
