Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has been center of several rumors and leaks recently. Xiaomi has been teasing fans about their yet to be officially announced Redmi Note 5. The device is the successor of one of the most popular Redmi Note 4. Redmi Note 5 was recently spotted on a Chinese e-commerce site JD.com.
The listing confirmed the rumors saying the that the Redmi Note 5 will have a FullView display with an aspect ratio 18:9. This will be Xiaomi‘s first budget phone to have full display. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 passed Chinese telecommunications authority last month. Now the listing on JD.com has confirmed that the Redmi Note 5 will feature a 5.99 inch FHD+ display.
The device will have a unibody metallic design. The back panel will host a single rear camera, LED flash and fingerprint sensor. Redmi Note 5 will have a dual front camera. It is expected that the device will be powered by a Snapdragon 636 processor although the details are not yet.
Redmi Note 5 is expected to come in three different variants 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The device will come with a 4,000 mAh battery. As far as price is concerned Redmi Note 5 was listed on JD.com with a price-tag of CNY 8,888 which equals to approximately $1340 which is not a realistic price as we know that the Redmi Note 5 will be budget friendly device.
According to GizmoChina the number 8 is considered lucky in the Chinese culture. The real price of the phone is expected to be around CNY 1,200 which is equal to $182. The official launch date is still not revealed but it is expected that Xiaomi will launch Redmi Note 5 by the end of this year or January 2018.
